CLEAN EVERYTHING BEFORE MOUNTING with Isopropyl alchohol. This includes your existing parts and your NEW LP parts (i.e. if you are mounting new bar ends on an existing handlebar - clean both!). This will improve the cripping ability of the LP clamps and the clamps of your existing parts.
Can I cut my handle bars down?
It depends. Pre-1999 LP handle bars are able to be cut down. Consult your LP dealer for proper cutting techniques. 1999 and later LP handle bars have a reinforcing plug at the handle bar end, consequently the new design does NOT allow for cutting down.
Can I cut my seatpost down?
Yes. If you cut either the seatpost or handlebars be sure to use a NEW hack saw blade. DO NOT USE PIPE CUTTERS. Finish the cut area with 320 grit wet/dry sandpaper.
If I cut them, are they still under warranty?
YES ... except for the piece you cut off, of course.
Are composites stronger than Titanium?
YES. By weight, composites are stronger than Titanium, steel and aluminium.
What is the difference between the aramid fiber / Carbon weave and the pure Carbon weave?
None what-so-ever ... other than their cosmetic appearence. It just depends on your own personal style which finish you prefer.
